Bank the win
When AI saves time, it usually gets filled straight away with more work.

When AI saves time, it usually gets filled straight away with more work. This experiment keeps some of it for the team to spend on each other. Try it when AI has clearly sped things up, but the team feels busier and more distant than before.
How to run it
When something takes noticeably less time than expected because of AI, anyone can bank some of it. When the bank adds up, the team spends it together.
- 01
Agree what counts as a win, for example a task you expected to take a day that took a morning.
- 02
When it happens, post it in the team channel with the time you're banking, e.g. "Banked 1 hour, the report took half the time".
- 03
Bank some of the time saved, not all of it. Half is a good rule.
- 04
Keep a running total in a pinned note.
- 05
When the bank hits an agreed amount, say 3 hours across the team, spend an hour of it together: a long lunch, a walk, a fika, a game.
Suggested time
6 weeks.
A guide only. It runs until you close it.
What to notice
Are people posting wins, or does it feel awkward to admit AI saved time?
Does the team actually spend the bank, or does it keep getting pushed back?
How does the time together feel, compared to normal team time?
Does naming the wins change how people talk about AI?
